WORK FROM HOME

With a mandate to shelter-in-place, the global exodus from the office to our homes has been referred to as the ‘fastest relocation of labor since the Industrial Revolution.’ As millions lost their jobs or were placed in an indefinite hiatus, others logged onto company meetings from their dining room table or the family sofa. ‘Business-as-usual’ has been squeezed into workers’ personal spaces, creating a blurred boundary between our professional identities and our lives at home.
What has this transition shown us about how we work? How will this influence the ways we work in the future?
